19, July 2018 - Capital City, Carnswell - President Bannister will address the House of Commons on Monday to promote his enactment of the 2018 Medicare Act. Medicare will be a federal health insurance program that will automatically start for individuals when they turn 62 years of age. It will also cover certain younger citizens with disabilities. Individuals will have many different plan options to choose from such as Medicare Plan A, which is hospital insurance. This plan will cover covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care. It is possible to have more than one plan. If President Bannister's proposal makes it through the HoC, citizens 62 and older could see benefits starting as early as September. Click here for more.
