Gorski's parents, originally from Olsztyn, Poland, fled to the UK during the Nazi occupation of Poland during WWII when they were young.

Sec. Gorski graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1977 earning a MBA in business administration. In 2012, Gorski became a Boshkan citizen and in the early spring of 2013, was appointed as the Secretary of The Treasury.
